The non-profit Estonian Horticultural Association, founded on 9 February 1989, is an umbrella organisation for horticultural producers as well as educational and research institutions.

Objectives of the Association include:

-     promoting the production and marketing of domestic horticultural produce;

-     participating in the development of horticulture policies and submitting proposals for legislative amendments;

-     defending its members' rights at relevant state agencies;

-     organising educational and information events as well as introducing its members’ produce at exhibitions and trade fairs;

-     contributing to the development of sustainable and competitive study programmes in horticulture;

-     representing its members in various partner programmes.


Today, the Estonian Horticulture Association is the leading and largest horticulture organisation in Estonia, bringing together educational and research institutions, horticultural producers, landscape gardening specialists and suppliers of input materials. The Association has over 70 members. Member producers of the Association count for approximately 90% of domestic fruit, vegetable, flower and seedling cultivation, providing jobs for around 700 people.
